These colourful throw rugs (or ketta) are handmade by women living in slums in Bangladesh. Made from 5 layers of cotton sari they are sewn together using the traditional kantha stitch. Subsequently the back and front of the rug have a different patterned sari displayed.
By purchasing these throw rugs you are helping these women have independent earnings and are contributing to their wellbeing.
